After I put together our list 5 iso activities for kids, I thought, “What about the adults!?” So here is our list of 5 iso activities for adults!
While it’s not a complete list, it is a list of things I have found or people have told me about that have been really helpful. Some practical, but mostly fun!
If you’re looking for some ways to keep active, there are a few on this list! Pilates and Barre instructor David Hammond is running sessions Instagram Live Barre sessions from home. He’s done a few so far, and they are fantastic. Check out @manatthe_barre on Instagram to see when he’s running his next session!
Missing Netball or Footy? NETFIT – and now FOOTYFIT– are hosting online fitness classes and clinics for adults (and kids). Check them out on Instagram for all the details: @netfitnetball, @footyfitfootball.
I am part of a Dad’s group organised through the City of Glen Eira. We haven’t been able to meet up with the kids, so have kept contact online. If you are a Dad who might benefit from getting together with other dads, dadsgroup.org have started running Zoom sessions. Check out the website to see if it might be of benefit!
We’ve enjoyed games nights and zoom catch ups with friends, and have also done a few trivia nights! We’ve used Quiz Meisters a few times, but I’ve also been told about others. There’s a Quarantine Quiz on tonight! A quick Facebook search will come up with a few options on different nights with other companies too. So much fun, especially if you’re missing your local pub trivia.
And finally, I have been doing a bit more cooking, and I’ve definitely got lots of inspiration (and tips) from Cooking with Collo. Check out Shan cooking up a storm here @cooking_with_collo.
Bonus: Mindfulness
I think everyone is feeling the extra stress at the moment as we deal with significant upheavals in our lives. Healthdirect has a really nice 4 minute read on breathing techniques and progressive muscle relaxation that could prove really helpful.
Hope you enjoyed our lists of iso activities for adults and kids!
Stay Safe!
