If you are after a low impact exercise option and would like to improve your posture, core stability, strength and flexibility, our stretch and stabilise classes are for you. Stretch & stabilise focuses attention on correct posture and positioning, muscle activation, movement and breath to strengthen and stabilise your body while also improving flexibility.

Can i claim 1:6 Stretch & stabilise on prIvate health insurance?
Yes, this is a possibility!
Most private health insurance extras now include exercise physiology. However we recommend you check with your personal health insurance to ensure you are covered before commencing your first class.
As a bonus you can also claim your private health insurance rebate on the spot, using our HICAPS terminal.

How are the classes run?
Our classes contain a maximum number of 6 people. The stretch & stabilise class is a mat, body weighted training program run by our exercise physiologist. To progress into these classes we require an initial 1:1 EP session to properly examine and assess your body to help us recommend the correct class for you. Proper form and technique is crucial when exercising and we want to make sure you can perform what is required before you enter our classes. We do this to ensure we prevent any injuries!
What can you expect during this class?
Our 1:6 stretch & stabilise classes are all run in our gym facility at The Osteo Collective Cheltenham. The class will contain a mixture of body weighted exercises, core activation, gluteal activation and balance exercises all performed in our gym facility. Each week can be slightly different as our EP will alter the exercises to keep the classes fun and exciting, whilst improving your bodies mobility and stability.

What do i bring/wear?
Loose fitting clothing is the ideal attire
to wear during your exercise class. It is
also a good idea to bring yourself a
bottle of water. Mats are provided but
if you would prefer to use your own
you are more than welcome to do so.

I currently have an injury, can i still do the classes?
Yes. Our exercise physiologist is well trained to modify your exercises based on your presenting complaint. In fact AEP's are fantastic at rehabilitating injuries. During your initial 1:1 session your injury will be examined, be sure to let your EP know any injuries you are suffering from. Based on our EP's examination, a recomendation will be made about which class will best suit you.

How many sessions should i do?
Your EP will discuss with you their recommendation of how many sessions you may require during your initial consult to help with your rehabilitation. A home exercise program will always be provided so that you can recover as quickly as possible. However you may wish to continue your exercise in the 1:1, 1:3 or group classes to further progress or maintain your strength and fitness levels!
