COVID-19 Lockdown update 6
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) have in the last 48 hours updated their restrictions. YOU NO LONGER REQUIRE A REFERRAL from a GP or medical specialist. They have however updated advice on WHO can access allied health treatments.

Restrictions on Osteopathy, Exercise Physiology and Remedial Massage are now in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
From 11:59pm Monday 16th August 2021 to 11:59pm Thursday 23rd September, new restrictions are in place for allied health (osteopathy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, chiropractic, speech pathology, psychology etc).
We are limited to providing face to face care under the following criteria (for osteopathy and exercise physiology):
An appointment:
– That avoids serious acute consequences or acute deterioration
– That avoids a potential hospital admission or emergency department presentation
– That prevents/delays the need for further specialist medical or surgical intervention
– That prevents an increase in care needs that would necessitate additional carer supports or change in accommodation needs
– That limits secondary complications post surgery
– Where deferral would lead to long term adverse consequences.
Remedial massage continues to be unavailable during lockdown.
If you have an appointment booked between now and September 23rd, your practitioner will be in contact to discuss with you whether your appointment meets these criteria, or if we need to postpone until after lockdown.

We understand this will be difficult news to our patients. We continue to offer online Exercise Physiology consults available and have reduced the cost of online Osteopathy consults to $25 to provide assistance and support through this period.
